Well what can I say but you have come up trumps on this request, the pictures Chris has taken are perfect

We were recently contacted at our Renishaw Hall photography studio by a lovely gentleman. His name was John Norman, and he had an unusual request for a photograph. A request we were only too pleased to help with.

The Story

In years gone by John’s father Eric had worked at Renishaw Hall, where we now have our exclusive studio. While working there, Eric had marvelled at the beautiful carpets of Bluebells that covered the ground of it’s stunning woodland gardens near Eckington. When he sadly passed away a few years ago, John requested that his ashes were scattered amongst the bluebells. A request that was gladly granted by the estate. John and Liz now know that Eric is in a place remembered fondly. Plus they have somewhere that they can visit and pay their respects.

The Request

The couple live on the other side of the Pennines in Oldham. So they wanted a picture of bluebells to have at home to help them remember every day. This is where Chrysalis Photography stepped up to the mark. As soon as we received the email Chris searched through our archives to find the perfect scene. He then sent John a selection of images, via email, from this years beautiful crop of the protected wild flower. And as luck would have it, one photograph was taken close to the tree where the ashes were scattered. John was delighted and is now the proud owner of a beautiful canvas that can be enjoyed every day. Since then this has served as a beautiful daily reminder of his fathers love of Renishaw.

The Visit

John & Liz visited Renishaw Hall to collect the canvas from us at our studio. Although bluebell season had finished they enjoyed a walk in the gardens, where the roses were in full bloom and the sun was shining brightly. We also got the opportunity to sit and have a cup of tea with them.

The gardens at Renishaw Hall are open from the end of March to the end of September every year. Also guided tours of the house available on a Friday at 1pm & 2.30pm. There is also the Stable Courtyard where you can sit in the sun outside the beautiful Gallery Cafe. While you’re visiting you could have your own photoshoot at our fantastic studio. But please just get in touch with us a few weeks before you visit if you wish to book a family photoshoot to coincide with your trip.
