Since launching Chrysalis Photography thirteen years ago, it has been our absolute pleasure to follow some fabulous families. We have one or two that we would like to share with you that we have followed from the start. Our first feature family are Hayley and Dan – we watch as the family composes a beautiful symphony with their 5 amazing children.
This musical family have thrilled us every time they have announced their next addition. They have been customers now since the early days of Chrysalis Photography and we look forward to each visit.
The First Verse – Harmony & Lyric
The Kiddicare store in Peterborough, then owned by Neville & Marilyn Wright was the base of our very first commercial studio. Hayley and Dan started their journey with us in the early days. We knew they were musical when they told us the name of their first baby – Harmony and saw their second baby, Lyric arrive whilst still at Kiddicare. We like to see them as the first verse.
The Independent Third – Indie
In 2011 we moved our studio to Dunston Hall Farm in Chesterfield and feared we would loose touch with our much loved families. However, in 2013 Hayley contacted us again to say that number three, independent Indie had arrived and that they wanted to continue the theme of their family images by visiting us all the way from Lincolnshire. Lyric and Indie followed in their big sister Harmony’s footsteps, both with musical names and that trademark red hair.
A New Solo Voice – Aria
With another move under our belts to our third and final destination in 2014, the family followed us again to Renishaw Hall and now the forth baby was on her way. Aria, meaning amongst other things a solo voice, arrived in 2015 and the whole troop visited for a lovely session at the studio. It’s like greeting old friends when this family arrive and we love to see how the kids have changed. Definitely the last one… or was it?
And So The Family Comes To A Conclusion With Coda
And so arrives Coda, in music terms, the passage that brings a piece to an end and so the conclusion. So this really was the last baby. And another beautiful little red head. Even though Coda means coming to an end, we still secretly hope that we might see one more new baby… even a four legged one perhaps?? We will have to watch this space.
The Complete Symphony
And so they now have a complete symphony! We have loved seeing the Dan, Hayley family increase and flourish, and have really enjoyed seeing all the children grow and develop their own individual identities. Each different, but each connected by their wonderful family, music and their stunning red hair.
