What a fabulous couple of weeks of weather we’ve been having, which makes our wedding days even more wonderful to be a part of. This time we were very close to my Sheffield home, in a gorgeous little village called Thorpe Salvin. Chris and Rebecca were a wonderful couple, and I particularly loved Rebecca’s choice of Dress and flowers, both of which were simple, but amazingly effective.
The wedding was held in Thorpe Salvin Church, followed by a marquee reception in one of their kind neighbours fields. The close proximity of the ceremony and reception meant that we could also pop over to the ruins of Thorpe Salvin Old Hall, which proved to be a gorgeous backdrop for a few of the images.
It threatened to rain a few times, but held off all day, and the marquee was perfect for the wedding breakfast and evening entertainment, which included a Ceilidh and singing performances from friends and relatives. Rebecca’s brother in-particular gave a fine performance on his ukulele.
Here’s a short highlights slideshow from their wedding. We wish Rebecca and Chris a wonderful married life together and also best of luck with the start of their new careers.
