It’s been another few manic weeks for Chrysalis Photography. We’re in the process of closing down our Peterborough studio and putting the final touches to our brand new portrait studio in Chesterfield. We’ve finished the bulk of of summer wedding photography bookings, and still managed to fit in a couple of wedding fayres along the way.
Here is a highlights slideshow from one of our recent weddings. Kristy and Jason wanted a vintage theme to their wedding day, and certainly Kristy’s fabulous dress was very reminiscent of the 50′s (though I’m sure Allie will tell me I’m 30 years off the mark – history of fashion is not really my subject). Jason and the other guys went for the tux and dickie bows, which again worked great. To complement the theme I processed the images with retro tones and vintage sepia or B&W.
South Anston Church is just a stones throw from our house and for me one of the most beautiful churches in the area, set high on a hill and with a balcony inside the church, from which I can get a different angle on the ceremony. Mount Pleasant Hotel in Doncaster is also a great venue. Its grounds have been very well thought out to give us photographers enough variety for the bride and groom shots.
Thanks a lot to Kristy and Jason for their kindness and consideration throughout the long day of shooting, and for arranging a lovely meal for me as well. Wishing you every happiness for the future.
