Our bespoke service combines candid and reportage photography with traditional and stylised shots to deliver beautiful wedding photography with style and flair. The result is a perfect balance of timeless images that will thrill and delight every time you look back on them.

From the bride’s preparation to the first dance, we never fail to catch the natural smiles that create beautiful pictures and capture the essence of the day you spent days, months, even years planning.

We also offer a pre-wedding or engagement shoot, a great way to mark the tremendous occasion, and a chance for us to get to know each other before the big day. Our Chesterfield wedding photography is based in Dunston, very close to both Chesterfield town centre and only a ten minute drive from Sheffield city centre.

Your questions answered

Can we meet the photographer and view samples of your work and albums before booking?

Yes of course, please just ring our studio in Chesterfield on 01246 451555 to arrange a date and time. Evening appointments are available to fit around your work if necessary. The consultation is free and you are under no obligation or pressure to book. We are always happy to meet couples and discuss their individual requirements and wishes. You can view some of our recent wedding images in our online gallery and we have sample albums at our studio which will be customised according to your preferred taste and style. And once people meet our professional photographer, Chris, with his friendly and relaxed approach and passion for hiswork, they usually reserve a date within the week.

How long will you be there on the day?

Our photographer will be there for however long you wish. Typically it is from the morning preparations to the first dance, so we can really tell your story in pictures as the day unfolds – with close-ups maybe of the bride’s shoes, bouquet, or laced dress, contrasting with relaxed group shots as family and friends arrive at your venue. Through the ceremony to the wedding reception, Chrysalis guarantees a stunning set of professionally produced photos that you will cherish forever.

What if it rains?

You’ve spent months planning your perfect wedding …the perfect ring, the perfect dress, the perfect venue. Your wedding day rolls around, and you look out the window to find that it’s overcast and raining. Your heart sinks as you think how it will impact your wedding album photographs.
Chrysalis Photography is pleased to include a ‘Rainy Day’ back-up guarantee. Should it rain on your wedding day we have some of the most advanced cameras and portable flash systems to get the best from shooting inside. In addition to this we also include a FREE post-wedding shoot back at your venue on the next available opportunity to capture all of the outdoor images. We are one of the only photographers in the Yorkshire /Derbyshire region to offer this service inclusive of the wedding package and we hope it puts your mind at rest.

Where will Chrysalis Wedding Photography travel?

This is a good question, and the answer is just about anywhere. Our wedding photography studio is based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire and is within easy travelling distance of Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Worksop, Leeds, Mansfield, Nottingham, Wakefield, Barnsley and many other towns and cities in the Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire regions.We are experienced wedding photographers at numerous venues around the Yorkshire and Derbyshire area – please feel free to ask us if we have photographed at your venue before, and we will be happy to show you samples of previous weddings there. If you are getting married abroad please contact our studio to discuss your individual requirements.

Do you do image re-touching?

We are very experienced in all photo editing and image enhancement techniques and can airbrush any blemishes to leave a flawless finish whilst still being true to the real you. We offer a range of photo effects and edits as standard, including black and white, and stylised spot colour effects. Our photographer does all the editing himself to ensure a truly personal and high-end, luxury finish to your wedding album or storybook.

How do we choose images?

The photos will be available for viewing 14 days after the event. We invite you for a personal slideshow experience in our comfy projection room, where we will help you select the best images. If you have selected a wedding album it is at this point that we begin the design process – choosing the image for the front, the style and layout, and the photo sequence.

What sort of albums and prints do you offer?

We offer a wide range of albums, storybooks, printed and framed products to suit all tastes and budgets. Popular choices are canvas prints, montages and floating frames, as well as free-standing digital frames and acrylic desk blocks for a very contemporary look. You can also choose to receive your high resolution images on CD or DVD.
