Your questions answered
Do you offer a baby portrait package?
Yes. Anyone booking a baby photography session has the option to join our ‘Watch Me Grow’ programme with complimentary sessions, offers and discounts. This package offers great value for money and is very popular with families returning time and again. Terms and conditions apply, please ring us at our studio on 01246 451555 for more details.
At what age should I book a baby portrait?
We recommend you book your first baby photography session at around four months. Two further sessions four months apart are a wonderful way to watch your baby grow, with beautiful professional images recording their first year of life.
How long is a baby photography session?
We reserve a two/one?-hour time slot which gives ample time for you and your baby to arrive and settle in our studio environment. It also means there is plenty of time for any baby feeds, nappy and clothing changes, or just a cuddle if needed. We appreciate the pressures of being parents and aim to make the experience as relaxed and enjoyable as possible for you. We never overrun so you will not be waiting around before or after your appointment. And with our own parking area outside you don’t have to stress about parking meters or tickets.
What should I bring to a baby photography session?
Please bring any of your favourite baby things or gifts you have received that will help make the photos original to you. For older babies please bring any favourite clothing and toys that they like to play with, especially noisy toys that will help keep their attention. We do have a variety of colourful baby accessories, teddies and toys that we can also use to create different compositions.
My baby can be shy with new people, will that affect the photo shoot?
No, our photographer Chris is specialised in baby and family photography and will make it easy for you and your baby to get comfortable in the studio. We are a husband and wife team and with two young children of our own we understand how important it is to create a calm and relaxed environment.
If my baby has a rash, scratch or mark on the face, should I postpone?
No, we use the latest editing software which means small changes like removing a blemish can be made post-production and are part of our service. We do not usually remove birth marks or moles unless you request us to do so.
How do I choose images?
Once your shoot is complete you are invited back around 14 days later for a personal one-hour slideshow experience in our projection room where we can help you select the best images.
How can I get prints of my chosen images?
We offer a wide range of printed products and frames to suit all tastes and budgets. Popular choices are canvas wraps, montages and floating frames, as well as free-standing framed prints and acrylic blocks for a very contemporary look.
